New York City, Dec.12, 2007 - In 2007, 389 new magazines were launched.

Regional magazines topped the list (42 new titles) with such titles as Miami, Edible Jersey, and Garden & Gun, according to - the largest online database of U.S. and Canadian publications.

The next largest category for new magazine launches in 2007 was the luxury category, with 36 new magazines, cutting across many different subject classifications.

Another top category for new magazine launches was business (24 new magazines), with new titles such as St. Louis CEO and Conde Nast Portfolio.

Lifestyle, home and interior design, and ethnic magazine categories all had 16 new magazines in 2007, with new titles such as Lofts, Lodges, Zeba (Afghan) and Jewish Living.
