ELECTRONIC NEWSLETTERS DOUBLED IN NUMBER FROM 2005 TO 2006, ACCORDING TO OXBRIDGE DIRECTORY OF NEWSLETTERS

-- Legal Newsletters Outnumber Any Other Category --

New York City, June 27, 2006 - Electronic Newsletters (online, fax, CD and email) more than doubled in number from 1,676 in 2005 to 3,813 in 2006, according to the Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters, 2006 Edition. At the same time, the number of print-only newsletters declined in number from 6,238 to 5,630, over the last year.

Legal newsletters are the leading category with 1033 titles, up from 917 in 2005, followed by Medicine, with 802 titles, and Computers & Automation with 719. The Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters , 2006 Edition, includes 253 categories and lists information on 13,522 newsletters.

From 2005 to 2006, the fastest growing newsletter categories were Electrical Engineering, from 17 to 51; Warehousing and Distribution from 9 to 26; Home Furnishings & Entertainment, from 5 to 13; and Natural History/Wildlife from 9 to 23. Petroleum & Natural Gas newsletters increased from 117 to 195, reflecting market concerns; and Security and Surveillance newsletters had a post-9/11 growth from 43 to 66.

"Newsletters in all formats remain an effective medium for connecting with readers by delivering up-to-date and relevant information", said Deborah Striplin, editorial director for the Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters. "In particular, we continue to see growth in electronic newsletters, because they are inexpensive to produce and easy to distribute".

Striplin said, "The Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters is a valuable research tool for publishers, promoters, advertisers, marketers, merchandisers, researchers, journalists, and vendors to the trade. It includes up-to-date information on address, phone, fax, URL and email; names of editors, publishers, and other key personnel; frequency; print specifications; circulation, advertising and list rental information, where applicable".

The Oxbridge Directory of Newsletters, 2006 Edition, published by Oxbridge® Communications since 1972, is the oldest and largest directory of U.S. and Canadian newsletters.
